DESCRIPTION:Prefiguring World(s) Through Artistic Practice / Prefigurare il mondo attraverso la pratica artistica è il nome di una due giorni di eventi che si terranno alla Casa delle Donne Lucha y Siesta il 15 e 16 dicembre. \nQuesta serie di iniziative segnano la fine di una ricerca durata 2 anni a Roma\, che analizza le relazioni tra la pratica artistica e i movimenti di protesta\, ed è parte del progetto IMAGINART di ASCA\, la Amsterdam School of Cultural Analysis\, dell’Università di Amsterdam. \nAvremo 2 tavole rotonde con artist*\, curator*\, attivist* e studios*\, un laboratorio aperto e una mostra\, per esaminare le relazioni tra prefigurazione e pratica artistica e discutere come la pratica dell’arte e l’organizzazione artistica prefigurano le forme di convivenza\, proponendo nuove concezioni. \nIl programma \n15 dicembre / 11:00- 13:00\nPracticing Communities – Yazan Khalili and Aria Spinelli \nHow do cultural practices create communities? The event will host a roundtable discussion on practices that involve communities\, creating an inclusive platform that forwards collaborative relations between practitioners and community members. \n15 dicembre / 14:30 -17:00\nOpen Lab: Prefiguring the city – Sara Alberani\, Marco Baravalle\, Marina De Angelis\, Chiara De Cesari\, Nuraini Juliastuti\, Yazan Khalili\, Matteo Lucchetti\, Lucha y Siesta\, Serena Olcuire\, Gabriella Riccio. Moderated by Aria Spinelli \nThis Open Lab will discuss how self-organized spaces prefigure and practice an idea of a sustainable city\, inclusive forms of cohabitation and self-managed public space. It invites actors from across Italy to think of shared knowledge and common strategies that foster a debate around future common practices. \n  \n16 dicembre / 18:30\nInaugurazione mostra Luchadorəs – Anahi Mariotti and Sofia Moriggi \nLuchadorəs is a critical reflection on forms of empowerment. Comprising two solo shows\, the exhibition hosts works of photography\, sound art\, and art installations based on a collaboration between Anahi Mariotti and Sofia Moriggi. Luchadorəs engages with overcoming gender violence and collective resistance\, highlighting unforeseeable dynamics of oppression exercised on spaces and bodies. The exhibition’s itinerary within the spaces of the Women’s House Lucha y Siesta focuses on key concepts\, such as strength\, sisterhood and self-determination. It shows us how gender violence cannot be treated without consistency as isolated cases but rather tackled as a culturally rooted phenomenon. Luchadorəs invites audiences on an experiential and conceptual journey through the stages related to overcoming violence\, such as recognition\, encounter and self-discovery. \n16 dicembre /18:30 – 20:00\nPracticing Care – Nuraini Juliastut and Lucha y Siesta. Moderated by Aria Spinelli \nScholar and artist Nuraini Juliastuti and members of Lucha y Siesta will discuss practices of commoning and care. Moderated by Aria Spinelli\, the roundtable discussion will address artistic activism and artists-run spaces in Indonesia\, and how collective kitchens activated by artists during the COVID pandemic are tied to a more extended history of struggles for democracy. DESCRIPTION:Luchadorəs è una riflessione critica su forme di empowerment. Con opere di fotografia e sound art\, e le installazioni\, la bi-personale è frutto di una collaborazione tra lə artistə Anahi Mariotti e Sofia Moriggi.\nLuchadorəs mette in relazione i percorsi di fuoriuscita dalla violenza di genere e di resistenza collettiva. L’evento intende porre l’accento sulle dinamiche di oppressione che vengono esercitate su spazi e corpi non previsti dalla società. \nIl percorso espositivo all’interno degli spazi della Casa delle donne Lucha y Siesta mette al centro concetti chiave come la forza\, la sorellanza e l’autodeterminazione. Ci restituisce quanto la violenza di genere non sia un fenomeno che può essere trattato in maniera individuale ed emergenziale\, ma deve essere contrastato collettivamente partendo dalle radici culturali in cui questa si radica.
